I'm in the Macbeth group and I'm playing one of the Three Witches. When I was last at school, we were improvising conversations betweent Lady Macbeth and Macbeth, seeing as the Witches already had lines to go off. The basic outline of our play was set, and so we just had to practise. I've been away sick for the last three lessons, but today I've been told what was happening and that we've gotten a bit further. Lauren is putting pictures/drawings of costumes onto the Wikispace, and Kristie and I are working on our Performance Plans and the diferent folio work. Jackie and Pip are away sick *tear*.
I am mostly going to use this page for the Negotiated Learning tasks that I have chosen, and other documentation that needs to be recorded. Gday says the cat, Milly, licking her paws. What a wonderful day for a cask.

To develop ideas into a dramatic performance I need to REMEMBERknowledge of the play and topicby…….
I will remember knowledge of the play by writing a character profile for my character, one of the Three Witches.
To make sure I UNDERSTAND the focus of the performanceand topicI will…..
ToAPPLYmy knowledge and understanding of the focus question, themes, character/s and play I will….
On the weekend to apply my knowledge of the play I will do a small Whoosh exercise by just taking photo’s of small tableau’s of the main points of the story.
16/9 Did this help? Why/why not?
ToANALYSE and go more deeply into the topic and my focus question Iwill…..
16/9 Do you think you have explored the theme well enough? What have you learned about what makes people wicked? How does what you have done with the play of Macbeth show your ideas? What will your group performance communicate?
I will demonstrate the knowledge and skills I have developed by CREATING a performance. My contribution to the development of this performance will include…
My contribution to this performance is helping to organise the outline of the play, making suggestions as to how things should be acted, and also acting in the play.
16/9 How well has this worked for you at this point?
I will reflect and EVALUATE the choices I make throughout the process by….
My choices throughout the production of the play will be evaluated by how well my ideas are received by the other members of our group and if they have helped the production of the performance.
16/9 How will you measure this? What evidence do you have that what you have done so far is working well? What have you done that has challenged you to do something a new? or different?
I will EVALUATE the success of my performance by….
I will evaluate the success of our performance by the reaction of the audience, and seeing if they have learnt anything different about Macbeth.
How will you measure the reaction of the audience? What do you expect/want them to do or say? What evidence will you have to support your opinion?

CHARACTER PROFILE-THE THREE WITCHES
The Three Witches come to Macbeth to tell him that he is destined to be king, and in doing so, they lead him into murdering his enemies so he can become king. The Witches have a dark and contradictory nature, which sets the tone for the play. In my opinion, the Witches can be compared to fate and/or prophecies, as they tell Macbeth what will happen in the future, and how he can do it. These prophecies that they make come true, and so for this many people who read the play believe that the Witches were evil and the villains of the play. I don't think they are evil seeing as they are only telling the future of what will happen to Macbeth. He chooses to kill all those people to become king all of his own will. The Witches helped him by giving him little encouragement to do evil acts. The Witches cannot be solely blamed, as there are other influences on Macbeth as well, such as Lady Macbeth, which is the premise of our play, showing that Lady Macbeth was the mastermind behind it all.
